Saturday afternoon I took a drive to Penang. The journey from Ipoh was pleasant, it took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the start of the bridge, it took me another one hour and 30 minutes to get to Georgetown. That's Penang traffic. I specifically went to check out Carulina Franco from Brazil performing with Spunk Unit at the G Spot G Hotel Penang. It was a unique experience listening to someone sing in a totally new language to my ears. It was an enjoyable evening. Carulina has agreed to do a few numbers at Jazz & Bits as a guest singer on the 28th of December. The Long Island Ice Tea was excellent and very fairly priced at RM32.00. I was told G Spot has been voted as one of the best venues in South East Asia by the Hotel Association of South East Asia. That is definetely good for Music for Asia.
