My name is Bambang (50 years old). I work as an expatriate from Indonesia in UTP (Tronoh). I teach engineering and science at UTP. I have my hobby in Jazz music. I play violin and flute since 1973. Since I play only as leisure time hobby, I do not have any formal background education in music, so that is why I am practically music-notation blind. I rely mostly on my ear and feeling when playing. It is quite difficult to find somebody in UTP to jam. From 2006 when I first joined UTP I only find one student who are really talented in playing jazz piano, but unfortunately he has just left UTP for Belgium to study his PhD. Because of my loneliness, currently I play along with my CD only. Sometimes when I back to my hometown Bandung I can play with some of my friends over there. I would be happy to join to play in Jazz and Bits, if I really fit with your portfolio. I play mostly easy listening swing jazz and bossanova. Hope to hear from you soon.
